Who Is Dania Moreno

Because we’re all HER

Dania Moreno Acosta is a passionate advocate for the Hispanic community and a dedicated mother, who has resided in Brazoria County since 2003. She wants to devote her life to making a positive impact in her community, having graduated from Brazosport High School (2004), Brazosport College (Associate of Arts, 2006), and the University of Houston-Downtown (BBA, International Business). Fluent in Spanish, English, and a little French, Dania is determined to raise awareness about the lack of information and resources available to Hispanic women and to break down barriers created by language and cultural norms that often prevent them from accessing the support they need. As the mother of two children, Amanda (8) and Alexander (4), Dania is committed to providing a safe, nurturing environment for all women through her non-profit organization, In Her Shoes Foundation. Through this initiative, she works to empower and provide resources to Hispanic women that foster their growth and well-being. By making these resources available and accessible, she hopes to help elevate and strengthen not only the women in her community but their families and future generations as well.

HER MISSION

To Heal women by Empowering them so they can Regain control of their lives

BECAUSE WE’RE ALL HER

Healing is the starting point for any change, next you proceed to believe you can do it

Empowering your mind to believe the sky’s the limit, then the real change and

Regain control of their lives begins.

What Our Community Is Saying

“I am so excited to Volunteer and be the support I wish I had a few years ago. As Hispanic, we don’t always treat mental health as a top priority, so I love that In HER Shoes Foundation is all about mental health! #StrongMindsStrongFamilies”
